Description
The Aroha tapware range is distinctive and timeless with small, graceful proportions. Aroha’s striking aesthetic breaks away from expectation by combining distinct angles with soft forms to create dynamic and visual interest. Unlike any other single lever mixer on the market, Aroha’s handle floats and gracefully rotates over the tap body, resulting in a well-integrated relationship between the handle and body. Aroha’s elegance will make a statement in any home and is an aesthetic that will endure for years to come. Aroha’s unique design language seamlessly flows through every product the range resulting in a cohesive tapware range.
Key Features
and/or Benefits
Embodying the new Methven design language, Aroha is distinctive yet timeless. Reminiscent of a bird of paradise flower, Aroha’s design features crisp edges and flowing surfaces. The success of Aroha is the result of treating the product as whole rather than individual components. All other single lever mixers have an additional component, a dome cover that sits in between the handle and body, allowing the handle to rotate. This breaks the two components and creates a more visually complex product.
Aroha’s distinctive form has been inspired by the spherical rotational movement of a mixer cartridge. Unlike any other single lever mixer on the market, Aroha’s handle floats and gracefully rotates over the tap body. This has been made possible due to clever engineering and precise manufacturing. Aroha’s Mains Pressure Kitchen Mixer features a pressurised swivel which allows both the spout body and handle to rotate at the same time around an inner column. While there are other products in the market with this functionality, they achieve the swivel in a primitive way that causes significant wearing of the inlet hoses.
Aroha has been optimised to run on low flows to help conserve one of the world’s most precious resources, water. The WELS scheme in Australia and New Zealand helps monitor the water efficiency of products, and Aroha excels with high star ratings for water saving in both regions. The Aroha range has also been developed to accommodate the various pressure situations (high and low) that are found across the various Methven markets - New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom and China.
Special consideration has been made to ensure quick and more reliable installation. The Aroha shower mixers and 3-hole products feature increased installation tolerances as well as accommodating 90mm and 75mm wall cavities. The Aroha basin, sink and swivel spouts all feature top down assembly methods, meaning the cartridge, seals and swivel bearings can all be serviced from above the bench without having to remove the product.
