Where conventional workshops have portable toolboxes and large permanent tool storage, BluCave combines the benefits of both. The BluCave Carry Cabinet was designed to give users flexible storage of both their existing tools and the extensive range of BluCave tools and accessories. The Carry Cabinet easily and conveniently clicks to the wall mounted Rail for organised wall storage. Should the user need to transport their tools/accessories to another location, the Grab ‘n’ Go design of the BluCave Carry Cabinet makes it easy.
BluCave was designed to fit into environments other than the traditional shed. The BluCave storage system could feature in a laundry, garage, shed or even an industrial workshop. The flexible, modular design means that BluCave can be tailored for any work zone or task, such as DIY, trade or even hobbies such as sewing and sports like fishing.
The clever modular design helps consumers keep things neat, tidy, accessible and secure. For example, the Work Light and Power Strip dock into both the Power Module and the underside of the Shelf; the ToolBods and Controllers click into their storage docks, which then slide into the Carry Cabinets. The design helps to provide a visual indication of items removed and promotes organisation.
Separating the tool into two components, a “Controller” (Handle) and “ToolBod” (Tool body), reduces the space required to store each tool by approximately half. This space saving translates to smaller packaging which equates to less waste. This also benefits the consumer, retailer and distributor as it requires less space to store and display.
One common Controller (handle) allows expensive internal components, common to each tool, to be purchased only once. This results in a lower manufacturing and purchase cost for each ToolBod along with a reduced environmental impact. The space efficient design and the flat packing of the storage components reduce individual packaging. This reduces waste and the cost of packaging and distribution which in turn results in better value for money for the end consumer.
