Cyclonic debris protection is a necessity in the cyclonic regions of Australia in protecting human life from the damage caused by flying debris in a cyclonic event. Clearshield's NEW Cyclonic Debris Screen features an innovative framing design that incorporates an energy absorbing device. This unique design assists the Clearshield's Cyclonic Debris Screen in meeting the new level of debris impact resistance when tested in accordance with the requirements of the new AS 1170.2.2011. The primary purpose of the product is safety of the user. Installation of the product is always over the complete window surface so easy escape through the product is crucial in the event of an emergency situation. This design also features an easy escape mechanism that can be operated by a small child. Product has been comprehensively tested by a NATA test facility showing that it provides the highest level of impact protection as specified in the new Australian Standard AS1170.2.2011 for dwellings located in the cyclonic regions of Australia. Under new requirements in the BCA relating to energy efficiency, this product also provides an environmental advantage Clearshield Cyclone Screens provide a reduction of SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Co-efficiency) of 40% and a 14% improvement in U value reducing cooling costs of dwellings in warmer climates. Ergonomically designed to be both aesthetically pleasing whilst remaining functional in meeting the impact requirements of AS1170.2.2011. Frame design completely conceals the energy absorbing component from exposure from the elements.
Constructed from Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Santoprene materials this design has a life expectancy in excess of 25 years. All components recyclable materials.
