Description
The D900 Curve 2.0 is Brightgreen’s flagship product. At 15.7 watts, with an efficacy of up to 68lm/w, it’s the most efficient downlight on the market. It far surpasses the brightness of halogens with a light output of up to 1060 lumens. With an exceptionally high Colour Rendering Index (CRI) score of 95, the D900 Curve 2.0 makes colours appear sharper and more vibrant. Designed with the aim of eliminating planned obsolescence, the D900 Curve 2.0 lasts 70,000 hours, is free from toxic or environmentally harmful components, and can be resold to us for recycling when it eventually does expire.
Key Features
and/or Benefits
At 15.7watts and with an efficacy of 68 lumens/watt, the D900 Curve 2.0 leads the industry efficacy charts. Its powerful lumen count of 1060 surpasses that of halogens, which according to the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency (DCCEE), provide just 720 lumens. It's so efficient that over its lifetime, each D900 Curve will have saved 2625kWh when compared to halogens. The much higher lumen count means new buildings require fewer lights, resulting in even greater energy savings. It easily complies with new BCA regulations, which require lights to use only 5 watts per square metre.
The D900 Curve 2.0’s single LED chip generates multiple wavelengths of light which are carefully balanced to match the colour sensitivity of the human eye. This ensures consistency of colour temperature and creates a Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of 95 – the highest of any LED on the market and far surpassing that of other energy-efficient lighting types (CFLs have a CRI of just 50). This means that interiors and the people in them appear more vibrant and natural. Available in warm (3000K) or cool (5000K) colour temperatures, the D900 Curve 2.0 is adaptable to many situations, residentially or commercially.
Each D900 Curve 2.0 prevents 2.5 tonnes of carbon emissions over the course of its product life, saving the equivalent of $212.50 in the social cost of carbon (as defined by the Stern report). Its 70,000 hour lifetime (confirmed by NATA) ensures efficiency long into the future. It’s made from 98% recyclable materials and is free from toxic or hazardous materials, including mercury and lead, which are found in CFLs and other LEDs. This makes it safe to disassemble by hand. Alternatively, it can be sold back to us at the end of its life to be refitted or reformed.
The D900 Curve 2.0 is supremely user-friendly; installation is made easy by the lightweight design and the spring clip design means extra security. It’s also designed to be compatible with all existing dimming systems. And when you flick the switch, the D900 Curve 2.0 turns on instantly. No flickering means less risk of eyestrain or headaches. This is a big improvement on CFLs and many dimmable LEDs, which operate by flashing on and off extremely rapidly.
The D900 Curve was designed as an alternative to recessed halogen downlights. In order to be just as familiar and appealing to consumers and for a cleaner aesthetic, it has just one LED lightchip - unlike other LEDs which usually have several. As the lights last up to 30 years, a strong emphasis has been placed on creating a timeless design that won’t look out of place in the future. Available in white or silver fascias, the D900 Curve 2.0 will fit in with any room design or colour scheme.
