Epure Zone is the latest advancement in the evolution of the kitchen sink. The brief called for our design team to elevate sink function and design to a new level. The result is an innovative and leading edge solution. With the food preparation area concealed beneath the stainless steel covers, the bench top surface remains uninterrupted. Even with the covers in place, the sink still remains functional. The removable grill allows water to drain through to the bowls below, but when inverted, converts to a dish and glass drainer. Remove the covers and the food preparation area is revealed.

The sink in the modern kitchen has become the focal point for food preparation and the Epure Zone features multi-layered preparation areas. However when not in use, the unique sink covers are designed to cover and close the sink bowl area, extending the uninterrupted kitchen bench work surface. Manufactured from stainless steel / resin composite sandwich, the covers are both light and rigid. This material also allows the covers to be utilised as trivets. ABS glides on the underside protect the sink from damage and allow the covers to slide and be repositioned at any point on the sink.
The drainer is a key innovative feature of the Epure Zone. The integration of the stainless steel drainer and the covers provides a harmonious visual continuation of the bench top surface. The innovative drainer has two functional roles; most obviously when the stainless steel panels are in place, it allows water to flow into the bowl below. Flip the drainer over, and a dish and glass drainer is revealed on the reverse side.
Concealed by the stainless steel covers are the main elements required to make food preparation easier. Remove the covers and the walnut timber chopping board is revealed. Teflon plastic glides at either end of the board underside to elevate the board and allow it to slide over the colander, and across the entire width of the sink, adding greater versatility and functionality. It can be located at any position inside the sink. Should more sink space be required, it can be removed from the sink altogether and used on the bench top.
An essential in food preparation for washing, rinsing and storing, the large colander can also slide horizontally below the chopping board and sit easily, both in or out of the bowl for ease of use. The plastic over-moulded edge reduces the unpleasant sound of metal on metal contact as well as protecting the sink edge from damage during use. It is constructed from heavy duty brushed stainless steel and food grade ABS plastic.
The accessories play an integral role in the function of the Epure Zone sink. However, there will be occasions when they will not be required to be used. The caddy was developed to help organize all accessories in one simple storage and carrying device. It is moulded from ABS.
