The range consists of both cantilever and four-leg versions in three shell and six leg sizes to suit all ages of students. The chair promotes movement through a combination of a supple arched cantiliever and a flexible dual wall seat shell which is designed to conform to rigorous European Standards.
Utilising sweeping, modern curves to form a beautiful sculptural form, the ergonomic seat design with pronounced lumber support eases correct posture and reduces long term fatigue to assists student attentiveness.
Key Features
and/or Benefits
Adherence to new European seating standards means enhanced comfort for students and the pronounced lumber support helps promote good posture and student attentiveness. The design facilitates several different seating positions including backwards facing allowing use in a variety of classroom situations. The double-walled shell creates a much larger flexible plastic surface. This results in a ‘cushion’ that is not possible with a single-wall injection moulded chair.
All chairs are clearly marked with colour discs to illustrate the height of each item for ease of inventory assessment and to ensure that students are using the correct size for them. Educational staff are able to see, at a glance, the range of chair sizes in each area. The four-legged chair incorporates a linking glide as a standard on all chairs. This allows chairs to be quickly linked together or used individually. The link process allows for chairs to be disengaged simply for safety reasons.
The Goggle range consists of cantilever (classrooms), four-legged (meeting rooms, lecture rooms, halls, cafeterias or a general purpose chair) and the future gas strut chairs.
Designed to work in an increasingly litigious society, the chair range incorporates many safety features. The frame is made from strengthened steel for strength and durability. The cantilever frame is designed for dynamic movement and permits limited front-to-back rocking in line with the latest ergonomic research while the nylon glides resist over-tilting. The seat has no sharp protrusions, edges or finger traps. The blow-moulded surface has a moulded texture to facilitate air movement close to the skin for increased comfort. All surfaces are easy to clean and the integrated drain hole removes water if used outside.
Both the cantiliever and four-leg chairs stack together for easy storage and transporation. Goggle chairs are lightweight and easy to move. The built in ‘Goggle’ opening in the seat back provides an accessible grip area. The chair seats are designed to sit on a desk for cleaner’s access. Button shaped protrusions are designed into the plastic shell to prevent desk scratching through contact with the metal underseat pan.
