Description
The Escape MKII/Kaha Satinjet shower range successfully transforms your everyday showering ritual into a luxurious full body immersion experience that truly awakens the senses. This has been achieved through ingenious Satinjet technology advancements which have been packaged into the sophisticated and elegant form of Escape MKII/Kaha – Methven’s largest shower head (138mm diameter). Standard showers use single jets of water that produce a needle-like spray, whereas the patented Satinjet technology works by colliding twin-jets of water to produce over 300,000 droplets per second. This delivers a shower experience with superior all-over spray coverage that performs at much lower flow rates.
Key Features
and/or Benefits
Escape MKII/Kaha’s restrained, sophisticated and elegant aesthetic commands a design presence in any bathroom environment and is an aesthetic that will endure for years to come. This distinctive, timeless style has been created by blending crisp edges and soft curves – a key attribute to the new Methven design language. Escape MKII/Kaha’s dual function switch features new innovative ergonomic mechanics to create a seamlessly smooth function change from Satinjet body shower to massage, and design detailing never used before in the bathroom industry. The chrome surround frames the faceplate which comes in three finishes – grey, white and satin chrome.
Comprehensive user testing identified spray force and coverage as being the most important showering characteristics. Based on this research, the design team were able to evolve Satinjet technology by improving the pressure and spray coverage to create an even more luxurious showering experience at the low flow rate of 9L/min, this was achieved through: • Improved jet geometry to ensure optimum droplet size and velocity allowing for a more efficient performance especially at lower flow rates; and • Re-defined jet interaction for superior spray coverage and warmth.
With water shortage a global concern, water efficiency has become an important purchasing factor. Escape MKII/Kaha has been optimised to perform at the low flow rate of 9L/min while still providing a luxurious shower experience. Delivering more shower for less water, Escape MKII/Kaha has a 3 star rating with the Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (Australia and New Zealand).
Most showers feature fixed-centre mounting brackets which are unlikely to align in a retrofit situation. The new Methven Edge Rail (sold with Escape MKII/Kaha hand showers) solves this problem by including adjustable mounting brackets which can be moved to existing mounting hole-centres. These innovative brackets are inserted into a slot on the back of the rail and a mechanism grabs the rail from the inside, allowing the brackets to be neatly concealed behind the rail. Competitor products have the bracket wrapping around the entire rail which is an aesthetic associated with the low-mid end of the market.
