The patented inbuilt battery powered 'bellows system' forces air over the coals creating rapid, yet high radiant and conventional heat, allowing cooking to start in just 3 minutes, not 40 minutes like standard charcoal BBQ's. The natural hardwood charcoal lights easily with readily available and safe ethanol gel. The heat produced is as high and as even as any top-end charcoal BBQ, yet with the LotusGrill® you can control the heat output with the fan-dial to suit all cooking requirements.
The 'bellows system' bypasses the annoying smoking stage of creating BBQ embers, allowing for cooking without smoking neighbours out, through to indoor cooking. Eliminating the other contributor to smoke, the LotusGrill® also uses a thin metal grill surface ensuring excess fat and oil drips into the removable catching bowl. As the BBQ flavour is actually a harmless invisible gas, the omission of smoke does not affect the charcoal flavour produced through charcoal cooking.
The charcoal burns inside a closed mesh container, avoiding any embers, sparks or flames leaving it. Even if you should drop the LotusGrill® or if turned upside down. The air-cooled double outer wall and top rail of the BBQ never get hot, making it portable even whist in use and eliminating the potential for burns even for children. The metal plate surface ensures excess fat and oil drips into the removable catching tray and not back into your food as fat or carcinogenic smoke. The grill uses natural ethanol to start and natural charcoal NOT nasty, manmade, chemically laced heat-beads.
