GOOD DESIGN LOUNGE, Presented by Electrolux

In association with VIVID Sydney 2014, Good Design Australia and Electrolux proudly present the Good Design Lounge, a free public showcase of the most innovative and exciting design projects by young designers from Australia and around the world. Come and drop by anytime between 3pm - 9pm at 140 George Street, The Rocks NSW 2000.

Visit the lounge to see designs from Electrolux Design Lab, a global competition which calls for innovative design concepts for households of the future. Check out the Portable Spot Cleaner which can refresh and clean clothes on the spot, anywhere, anytime; or the Smoobo Blender, a fun way to make the smoothies of the future; or the Robo TAP Cleaner which cleans a target area by the tap of your foot! Electrolux is one of the global leaders in home appliances with a holistic approach to thoughtful design.

The Good Design Lounge will also showcase Finalists from the 2014 Hills Young Australian Design Awards. The Hills Young Australian Design Awards is a new national design award for young Australian designers, engineers, innovators and entrepreneurs and were created to inspire a new generation of Australian designers and thinkers and to help foster a culture of design, innovation and creativity in Australia. This year's Awards featured everything from an innovative Kayak design, a 3D printable prosthetic leg for developing countries, a new device to help save our barrier reef and a new police motorcycle helmet design.
