Production shoots can be unforgiving places for equipment. The palm sized Battery Converter is constructed of a machined aluminium casing that is compact enough to fit into a camera bag yet strong enough to be run over by a production truck and keep working. The delicate high speed SDI video connectors are cleverly recessed to offer protection during use and to prevent accidental disconnection of cables. Laser etched graphics resist wear and abrasion whilst raised silicone feet help avoid surface scratches and provide a high grip base even when heavy broadcast cables are connected.
On a shoot, the Grip is responsible for making sure all equipment is powered and ready to work through each and every shot, losing power mid shot to a monitor or recorder is not acceptable. The Battery Converter features an LED battery charge level indicator that accurately communicates the power level of the built-in Lithium-Ion polymer battery, which provides more than two hours of operation and can be powered or recharged by any 12V source.
