				Description

Blinders are USB-rechargeable bike safety lights that are waterproof, bright, efficient and intuitive. Custom lenses focus the light to maximize intensity and visibility distance. Lithium polymer technology provides up to 50 hours of running time. An integrated USB charging plug overcomes the need for additional cables and batteries. It also eliminates the need for grommets thereby contributing to the unit's waterproof construction. A tactile silicone button makes transitioning through flash modes easy. A long-press on/off feature helps prevent accidental light activation when not in use. The quick-release mechanism is robust and simple allowing the product to compliment any frame aesthetic.

				Key Features
and/or Benefits

Light output and frequency of charging cycles has been carefully balanced. Specifically designed to produce as much light as possible, custom designed optic lenses ensure the direction of light is focused for maximum visibility. The front light outputs at a maximum of 80 Lumens output and the rear model outputs at a maximum of 44 Lumens. A hinged USB recharge plug hidden on the underside of the light provides a convenient means to charge using standard USB ports. The light is 42 x 42 x 62mm and weighs in at 39 grams.

The Blinder lights have improved upon Knog's signature silicone attachment strap through the addition of stainless steel latch. Accommodating a wide range of bar sizes they are simple and quick to fasten. Acting as a handle, the latch enhances the action of securing the strap instantly. A tactile silicone button makes cycling through different modes easy. A long-press on/off feature helps prevent accidental light activation when not in use. It also serves as a last-mode memory function. An indicator light is integrated into the button, glowing red when low on charge or charging and green when fully charged.

Injection moulded polycarbonate main housing with UV-resistant silicone-overmoulded strap and button. The latch is made from stainless steel. The polycarbonate lens is ultrasonically welded to provide a watertight seal. An array of aluminium faceplates have been designed and provided in various anodized finishes.

Measures have been introduced to avoid accidental light activation and therefore battery drain. The unit contains intelligence to revert to a ëstorageí mode to optimize battery longevity. This mode can be implemented if the end user anticipates lengthy inactive periods. All electronics are located in a compact, waterproof, polycarbonate, overmoulded silicone housing. The unit is CE Certified, ESD protected, corrosion resistant and operates within a -10oC to 60oC temperature range at 80% relative humidity.

Lithium polymer technology gives the product a minimum of 300 charge cycles. To give context, an equivalent product with the same specification and power output using alkaline batteries would see at least 600 x AAA batteries go to landfill. Measures have been introduced to avoid accidental light activation and therefore battery drain. The overmoulded, UV-stabilized silicone over engineering grade polycarbonate housing provides a superior level of robustness and longevity. Recyclable and biodegradable materials have been utilised in individual product packaging including Bagasse (sugarcane pulp), PET and paper.
