AM05 is Dyson’s new bladeless fan heater: fast and even room heating in winter; high-velocity air cooling in summer. Using Air Multiplier™ technology, AM05 accelerates air through a 2.5mm aperture set in the hoop. Surrounding air is drawn into the airflow, amplifying it. In heating mode the air travels over ceramic stones, self-regulating the heat transferred. The temperature can be precisely set with an intelligent thermostat monitoring the ambient air and automatically turning on and off to maintain. With no blades or exposed heating elements, along with an automatic cut-off switch if tipped, AM05 allows safe heating and cooling.

Air Multiplier technology works by drawing in 28 litres of air per second, and forcing it into the hoop where it is then accelerated through a 2.5mm aperture set within the loop amplifer. This creates a jet of air which passes over an airfoil-shaped ramp angled at 5 degree. As the air passes over the ramp it's direction is channelled and surrounding air is drawn into the airflow, amplifying it.
Unlike conventional fans and fan heaters, Dyson AM05 can be precisely controlled. Select the desired temperature and the intelligent thermostat will keep it there. A brushless DC motor allos for precisely controlled airflow. Oscillation can be set to distribute heat across the entire room.

The Dyson hot + cool is energy efficient because it heats the room quickly and evenly. It uses an intelligent thermostat to control temperature, switching heat on and off automatically.
