Description
In 2004, Davey developed the world's first rainwater harvesting device capable of safe interconnection with the pressurised mains supply. Automatically substituting rainwater in bathroom, laundry and garden applications, it reduced household mains water consumption by 30-40%.
Evolution MkII is a third generation product, combining pump, filtration and control mechanisms into a single package, to improve reliability and simplify installation. The entire assembly is now located within the rainwater tank, where the mechanism is effectively invisible and noise output is contained.
A large, built-in primary strainer and secondary micro-filtration package protects downstream equipment and guarantees clean and attractive water quality.
Key Features
and/or Benefits
Evolution MkII is installed as a single package, requiring only two plumbing connections and one power connection. Every unit's performance is evaluated and recorded during our, ISO9001 accredited, manufacturing process.
Middle East customers have chosen Davey products for over seventy-five years, due to their operational reliability at extreme temperatures. Evolution MkII's built-in electronic controller will operate while fully immersed, at water temperatures of up to 50°C.
The pump, pipework and filtration elements are concealed within the tank, giving the completed installation a clean, simple appearance. The unit fits into the port opposite the tanks inlet strainer, allowing these components to be swapped if the installation requires it.
The large primary filter basket and micro-filtration element are easily accessible and maintenance does not require service tools. Swiveling inlet and outlet gate valves are supplied, fitted to every unit, simplifying installation and service.
Daveys innovative, patented flow sensing technology has no moving parts. It minimizes pump run time and mains water consumption, while reducing energy costs, by preventing nuisance pump starts normally triggered by small seal leaks or dripping taps.
Evolution MkII is also efficient to install. Onsite plumbing and power outlets are provided in preset positions, allowing tank installation to be completed in under ten minutes, without requiring a plumber or electrician.
A recent audit of NSW's BASIX program demonstrated 38,000 liters of water savings per household, per annum. Rainwater harvesting also reduces peak storm water runoff, the prime cause of effluent discharges into waterways.
Evolution MkII consumes half the energy required for desalinization (1.7 kWh/mL V 3.6 kWh/mL), a rate lower than some municipal supplies. Our Australian manufacturing plant has AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system certification.
This standard guarantees the product is non-toxic, does not support the proliferation of micro-organisms and complies with Australian plumbing code requirements to prevent potentially contaminated tank water accidentally re-entering the mains supply. The unit also complies with electrical safety standard ATS 5200.477.
Seals and clearances prevent mosquitoes accessing the tank through or around the unit and a built-in cord storage bin allows excess electrical supply cable to be safely stored within the control box, out of the reach of children and pets.
