Description
The Hills Orbit, we believe, is the most innovative and ergonomic ironing board developed to date. It justifies this claim by having the world's first pivoting iron caddy delivering a design solution that is ergonomic for both LH and RH users. In addition, the introduction of a new cord management system which combines with the caddy to deliver a cohesive and convenient method of tangle free ironing. The introduction of a purpose designed water jug that has dedicated storage on the ironing board when in use and when packed away is another first for this innovative product.
Key Features
and/or Benefits
The traditional iron caddy is either static or slides in and out from underneath the ironing board. The Orbit gets its name from its innovative caddy design, not only does it slide in and out but has innovative ability to pivot freely around the rear end of the Ironing Board. Pivoting the caddy towards the users working space brings the silicone cradle for the iron closer to the end user, significantly reducing the amount of movement required to reach it. In addition, the pivoting action allows for the full length of the board to be utilised for large items.
The Orbit uses an elegant counterweight principle to provide effect cord management when ironing. The cord of the iron is fed through the dedicated slot on the caddy and the cord manager is attached to a portion of the cord on the underside of the caddy. The result of this design means that when the user is ironing the cord falls away from them in a controlled manner and removes inconvenience of the cord getting in their way. The caddy moulding is a mirror image so there are dedicated slots on either side for LH and RH end users.
The problem of not having the water jug that came with your iron handy when you need it is a thing of the past. The integration of a water jug with the Orbit means that a water jug is always at hand for the end user. For storage, it is designed to sit between the front legs of the board and when in use there is a secure dedicated cradle moulded into the caddy.
