The first Automower® was developed by Husqvarna in 1995 and was the first robotic lawn mower on the market. Since then we have continued to be at the forefront of innovation in this market segment. The Automower® 305 represents the latest in our technology to provide a robotic lawn mower for smaller domestic lawns. By placing emphasis on humanised technology with a strong end-user focus, the Automower® 305 represents design and function in perfect harmony. It is silent and efficient, emits no exhaust gases and features low energy consumption. Compact, stylish and suitable for lawns up to 500 square meters.

With the use of lift and tilt sensors, the Automower® 305 automatically shuts off if it is lifted off the ground or tilted. In addition, the blades are rotating far from the outer edge of the machine. If the Automower® 305 meets an obstacle it will stop and redirect itself without causing any damage.
The Autmower® 305 PIN code system significantly increases the protection of the mower and works to safeguard against unintentional use. An additional anti-theft alarm offers maximum security for the mower and its owner.

The Automower® 305's low maintenance design enables those who lack the time to enjoy a well maintained lawn as it can be programmed to mow when you want it to. It will start to mow on its own - according to your pre-programmed schedule. When it needs charging, it finds its own way back to the charging station. The battery is maintenance-free. The cutter blades are affordable and easily fitted. The Automower® 305 simply needs to be wiped off with a brush or damp cloth to remove grass and dirt, so it's ready to continue cutting.
The central control unit of the Automower® 305 allows the unit to be personalised to fit many different lawns. You decide if you want Automower® to mow the lawn around the clock, 7 days a week or if you only need it to mow on certain days at certain times. When we started to design this product we wanted to focus on simplicity and, despite all of the smart engineering and advanced technology inside, we wanted it to be intuitive. The control panel features an easily understandable backlit display and keypad for the personal settings.

From an industrial design perspective the Automower® 305 is a joy to look at! When designing the unit there were several aspects of the product that we in particular wanted to highlight and draw attention to. First of all, a strong visual focus was placed on the central control unit, the main interaction area. The front fender was designed to look strong and determined to communicate robustness and a tapering rear to communicate agility. The front wheels were fully exposed to communicate front wheel drive.
