The Redarc In-vehicle Battery Charger features technology designed to charge your auxiliary battery to 100%, regardless of the type or size, meaning an auxiliary battery which is a different chemistry from the start battery can be used. By providing a unique charging profile to each specific battery type, the In-Vehicle Battery Charger is able to achieve and maintain 100% in your auxiliary battery, at all times. The In-vehicle Battery Charger is perfect for camping & recreational vehicles and 4x4 & Off-road applications however it can be used on any type of vehicle from trucks down to everyday family vehicles.

The In-vehicle Battery Charger is designed to operate from between 9V and 32V on the input allowing the unit to be used on both 12V and 24V vehicle start battery systems. The unit will sense the system voltage (12V or 24V) and adjust input thresholds accordingly. Whilst loaded (charging), the unit can operate with a voltage as low as 9V on the input wire. This allows the unit to be mounted as close as possible to the auxiliary battery even in situations with a long cable run between the start and auxiliary batteries where voltage drop can be an issue.
					The In-vehicle Battery Charger uses solid state technology to regulate the output from the unit to achieve the best charge possible to your auxiliary battery. The unit is designed to compensate for voltage drop and as such can be mounted close to the auxiliary battery. This allows the unit to regulate the output voltage and current levels at the battery providing the ultimate charge rate at any given time. The Redarc multi-stage charging algorithm is the product of years of research and experience. The algorithm consists of Boost, Absorption and Float stages.
					The In-vehicle Battery Charger is an evolution of the famous Redarc Smart Battery Isolator incorporating the simplicity and effectiveness of the Smart Battery Isolator with the sophistication of the Smart Battery Charger all in one package. This means that, as well as the advanced multi-stage battery charging features, the In-vehicle Battery Charger will still protect your Start Battery from over discharge to ensure you can always start the vehicle. The In-Vehicle Battery Charger also operates on the same voltage thresholds as the Smart Battery Isolator.
					The In-vehicle Battery Charger features an in-built MPPT Solar Regulator algorithm. If solar mode is selected the charger is capable of accepting an input directly from a solar panel or solar array and using that power to efficiently charge the auxiliary battery.
