				Description

A strong International trend for interior styling is evolving, where man made surfaces reflect a natural environment, a reaction against highly polished and reflective surfaces, some coin the phrase Super Naturalism or Authentic Imitation. Visual and tactile cues reinforce each other to deliver remarkable new surface effects. This is the driving idea behind Laminex Impressions textured surfaces. The Laminex Group has developed a range of affordable, sustainable and durable decorative surfaces to enhance modern interiors, furniture and cabinetry. The range is available in 73 decors and 3 finishes across a wide range of substrate materials, making an Impressions selection simple

				Key Features
and/or Benefits

The leading edge digital technology employed in manufacturing press plates is world class and has allowed the Impressions range to offer very fine, subtle details in the three textures. The resolution of the digital technology translates onto the finished products as realistic, naturalistic and authentic surfaces that are pleasing to look at and touch. Subtlety and complexity in texture design were chosen over boldness and depth of relief. The impressions range is a credible alternative to timber veneers and natural stone.

The Impressions range has been developed to offer high performance in terms of durability in hard working interiors such as kitchens. Steam, oils and staining agents are resisted to Australian Standards AS/NZS 1859. Surface performance and resistance to wear also passes AS/NZS 1859.3. The engineered substrates of MDF and particle board make the Impressions range less susceptible to changes in humidity and temperature, which can cause damage to solid timbers and veneers.

As an alternative to wood veneers and natural stone, the Impressions range offers savings of over 80% for typical domestic and commercial applications, without sacrificing premium aesthetics.

Utilising rapid regrowth pine chip and paper as the main structural elements of the Impressions surfaces, makes the range a sustainable alternative to many solid timber decorative species. Laminex sustainably source input raw materials via an Australian Forestry Standard Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (AFS/PEFC) Chain of Custody (CoC). Décor papers are also largely Forestry Stewardship Council certified suppliers. Adhesive systems to bind the papers and wood fibres are rated at E0 for low formaldehyde emission levels. The Impressions range is also GreenTag GreenRate Level A (Gold) certified.
