Description
The Maxi-Cosi Hera Convertible Car Seat features Air Protect™ Revolutionary Side Impact Technology; this break through system shields the head and immediately reduces side impact forces through the precise release of air. The Quick Fit harness adjustment makes it simple to correctly adjusted headrest and shoulder harness in seconds. Designed and manufactured in Australia and utilizing “Air protect” and “Quick Fit” technology the MaxiCosi Hera also offers a 3 position base recline at the push of a button.

The Air protect system was developed by Dorel in the USA. It is a unique system comprising a dual cushion and foam construction to provide controlled support and release of the air during side impact. Importantly the Air protect system is soft and supportive during normal use . Under the force of side impact however the Air Protect system both initially supports the childs head and then absorbs the impact as the controlled release of air occurs. Correct Fitment of the baby car seat and adjustment of the harness straps are vital for optimum performance of any car seat. It is the most common problem for standard baby car seat users. The QicikFit system provides simultaneous adjustment of both the head rest and shoulder harness height with a 6 position system. Two levers are located at the top of the head rest to conveniently adjust as the child grows . No fiddly straps and slots to thread through making a safer more convenient adjustment, and no need to remove the seat from the car.
Whilst incorporating “Air Protect” and “QuickFit” technology the Maxi Cosi Hera has been designed and developed in Australia to comply with the Australian Standards AS/NZ 1754-2010. Dorel Australia have long utilised a dual function rebound bar for reward facing and recline features. The rebound bar is raised to the upright position for rearward facing fitment and enhances base stability when folded for forwards facing. The Maxi Cosi Hera builds on this tradition into the future with a single push to adjust button for recline in 3 positions.

Securing the child car seat into the vehicle and securing the child into the seat are vital to ensure correct performance of any car seat. The Maxi Cosi Hera uses an independent latching buckle ,to make latching the harness straps with a wriggling child in position more convenient In forward facing the low centre of gravity of the shell design also allows for the vehicles “lap sash” belt to feed through the back rest portion of the seat for improved crash test performance.
