				Description

The O2 Mobile Radio Control Head provides a rugged vehicle mount solution for use in extreme conditions where water, dirt, and vibration are prevalent. Controls have been optimized for tactility and their exaggerated size allows gloved operation. The O2 is available in various colors to complement the aesthetic of the rugged vehicles in which it will be installed. Particular attention to materials and construction methods assure that this device will withstand the rigors of mining, fire service, construction, and other hazardous environments while providing safety and productivity for users.

and/or Benefits

The O2 Mobile Radio Control Head allows users to communicate to save lives, protect property, and increase productivity while establishing a design language appropriate for their environment. This device provides an intuitive interface for users who work in harsh environments such as mining, firefighting, construction, and utilities. It is an excellent design solution in its departure from the typical “black box” that has dominated mobile two-way radio design for decades. Controls are placed on multiple planes to allow for improved differentiation.

The O2 Mobile Control Head is a rugged vehicle mounted two-way radio designed for the harsh conditions found in mining, firefighting, construction, and utility environments. It has been rated to a military spec of IP56. The co-molded elastomer bumpers convey the ruggedness and dependability which users in such environments expect.

The O2 Mobile Radio Control Head is designed with the end user in mind. It has large physical keys and a user friendly control layout that can be easily operated with heavy gloves in a variety of harsh environments. These enlarged control features serve to guide fingers to the right controls even when user attention is distracted by other events. User response has been overwhelming as miners, construction workers, and firefighters experience a device that was designed with them in mind instead of “adapted” from another market segment.
