The design aesthetics of the PRED9X are unlike anything else on the market. Sleek and lightweight (350 grams) due to the use of high-end engineering composite materials, it sits easily on the rifle or scope with minimum fuss and maximum functionality. Compact dimensions give the PRED9X a vertical footprint, with clearance for 56mm objective rifle scopes. The light measures just 108mm x 69mm x 199mm from top to bottom of the clamp. This is not a simple torch that has been adapted to fit onto a rifle; it is a professional, purpose-designed firearm mounted light.
There is no other light on the market that delivers a beam as powerful and tight as the PRED9X. The high contrast light source allows camouflaged prey to be spotted in heavy cover. The larger than usual reflector allows for more light to be captured and harnessed, while the in-built shroud and parabolic reflector controls stray light, producing a focused hot spot at 200 metres and giving better range than regular LED's. The high CRI bulb reduces eye shine and aids in species definition when hunting. It is particularly effective when used with a quality rifle scope.
The PRED9X operates wirelessly, so no wires will get in the way when hunting. It can be operated without removing the hand away from the firing position, using the wireless switch. The wireless switch has a range to five metres and can be attached to the scope or rifle with a high tech velcro strip so that it will never be lost in action. The RF remote switch has a glow in the dark button for ease of use at night. One RF switch can be programmed to operate and control five PRED9X lights at once.
Unlike other firearm mounted lights, the PRED9X comes packaged in a premium padded carry case with enclosed mesh pockets, soft dividers, handle and shoulder strap and heavy duty zips. The padded carry case comes complete with all accessories available to the PRED9X. This includes the RF switch detailed above, four rechargeable batteries and an in-car and mains battery charger (international mains plugs included), two removable camera coloured filters (red and green for light-shy animals) and a Picatinny weaver scope mount ring to fit three diameters (25mm, one inch and 30mm).
