Unique single-handed locking mechanism. Unlock & re-lock with a simple, intuitive movement of the thumb.
The user only needs one hand to unlock, serve, and re-lock the tong when finished. This frees up the other hand of the user to do more specific tasks. The Smart Tongs become an optional extension of one hand. The locking mechanism is intuitive and works every time. Squeeze the arms of the Smart Tongs together to release the spring loaded lock. To lock just close the arms of the Smart Tongs together and roll the wheel forward.
The shape of the silicone heads are specially angled to fit in tight corners of pans and are narrow enough to retrieve food products from small jars. A scalloped edge and ridge along the front edge of the heads help grip slippery food like spaghetti or noodles. One side features slots for draining whilst the other side is gently scooped for basting.
