The Café Series® Kettle features laser-welded 304 Stainless Steel construction. The form of the spout is elegantly drawn out of the main reservoir, resulting in clean surfaces, no clumsy weld lines, yet perfect for pouring and filling, with a sharp no-drip spout edge. The restraint of form is key to this, and every product, in the Café Series®. The clean cylindrical form is conspicuous in its simplicity, on the retail shelf or modern kitchen. The angles and profile of the handle were developed from countless prototypes, we have used this ergonomic design as the basis for all Café Series handles.
Sunbeam have patent-pending innovative technologies surrounding the User Experience of the Café Series® Kettle. The first domestic kettle to feature a “time to boil” function coupled with constant temperature display. Within milliseconds of placing the Kettle on the base, consumers know the temperature of the water – innovation that aims to minimise wasteful reboiling of water and shows the consumer they have time to complete other tasks in the while their kettle reaches the desired temperature.
Inside the kettle - the polished SS heater plate hides significant advances in temperature sensing. Other Kettles require a hole in the heater plate with a temperature probe bursting into the reservoir. Holes always have potential to leak – the thermal expansion/contraction creates movement between parts and delicate temperature probes can be damaged/dislodged during cleaning. Sunbeam digital kettles feature our patent-pending “underfloor temperature sensing” technology, resulting in a “hole-free” heater plate. Sensing is done through the SS plate, the technology is hidden and the potential for leakage eliminated. The 4.0mm thick heat-diffuser mounts the 2400w element, delivering amazingly quiet boiling.
