It offers the patient comfort and reliability at barely a whisper, thanks to its innovative QuietAir™ woven mesh vent. Patients can find traditional vents blow air on the bed partner and themselves, this ultra-quiet vent provides advanced air diffusion that significantly reduces disturbance, by gently directing air away from both the patient and their bed partner. At a whisper-quiet 21.4 dBA, the AirFit P10 is ResMed’s quietest mask and 50% quieter than our most popular pillows mask. This technically advanced vent takes a woven material and puts it through seven different processes to ensure accurate flow.
All components were designed together to deliver a stable seal with a high degree of comfort and provide the patient with unobtrusive facial freedom and unobstructed vision for wearing glasses, reading, or watching TV. A recent ResMed study with 21 current CPAP users, found that more than 70% of patients preferred the AirFit P10 to the popular Swift™ FX mask, for comfort and stability. This was achieved through specially engineered QuickFit TM headgear which gently stabilises the mask and pulls the pillows into place. The dual wall pillows with trampoline action provide compliance and the ultra-flexible tubing reduces tube drag.
The AirFit™ P10 weighs just 45 g so it’s very light to wear. The patient won’t find its streamlined design daunting or claustrophobic, encouraging them to stick with therapy. Being lighter on the face also aids stability and comfort. This has been achieved by particularly considering materials and optimising the design. The revolutionary new flexi-tube is ultra light and highly durable, letting you move around freely without compromising the mask's seal. The AirFit™ P10's minimalist three-piece design makes assembly, fitting and cleaning a breeze. QuickFit™ elastic headgear automatically adjusts to each patient’s head and can be fitted in under 30 seconds. The mask easily slips on and off without any extra steps. The stabilisers automatically flex to fit different face shapes across the anthropometric range, but have rigidity where it is important to create structure and stability. Key-clip™ nasal pillows feature colour-coded sizing and left/right-orientation for fast and easy-fitting. It locks out incorrect assembly and uses hard-to-hard interfaces to ensure that the patient has confidence that they have assembled it correctly.
